Mock examA worked example
A question from the bank with its answer and the reasoning behind it. Every practice question comes with an explanation like this one.
Users tell a Product Owner in interviews that they would definitely pay for a proposed premium tier. What weight should this carry?
- ADecisive, since it comes directly from users
- BLimited — stated willingness to pay is a weak predictor of actual purchasing, and should be tested with a real commitment(correct answer)
- CNone, since users cannot assess pricing
- DDecisive if the sample exceeds fifty users
Why
Stated preference and revealed behaviour diverge most sharply where money is involved: people are consistently generous in interviews and cautious at the checkout. The evidence is useful for shaping what to test, not for deciding. A larger sample (D) increases the precision of a biased measure rather than correcting the bias.
