What you actually pay
The prices above are PeopleCert’s US listing; they vary by country. Training providers also sell the exam, often included in a course fee.
Unlike Scrum.org assessments, the exam is proctored and closed book, and a failed attempt costs money: only PeopleCert’s fullest bundle includes a re-take. At a 65% pass mark, 26 of 40, the margin is comfortable if the vocabulary is secure.
Who can sit ITIL 5 Foundation?
Anyone: Foundation is the entry point to the ITIL scheme and has no prerequisite. If you already hold ITIL 4 Foundation, you do not need to retake it to progress to the higher ITIL 5 modules.
And afterwards?
The certificate carries a three-year renewal date. You keep it current with 60 CPD points, by earning another ITIL certification, or by resitting.
