PSM I: Scrum Team practice questions

77 questions on Scrum Team, one of the 8 areas assessed in Professional Scrum Master I. Untimed, with an explanation after every answer.

This topic covers the three accountabilities in one Scrum Team: the Product Owner maximizes value and manages the Product Backlog, the Scrum Master is accountable for the team’s effectiveness, and the Developers create the Sprint Backlog and each Increment. The team is cross-functional, self-managing, without sub-teams or hierarchy, and typically ten people or fewer.

Neither the Scrum Master nor the Product Owner manages the Developers or assigns them tasks: the Developers decide who does what, and how. The Product Owner may delegate Product Backlog work but stays accountable, and is one person, not a committee. Cross-functional means the team, not each member, has all the skills needed.
